About West Herr Chevrolet of Williamsville

Buffalo's most trustworthy Chevy store, without the dealership games.

We're the Chevrolet rooftop on Transit Rd that families, first-time buyers, Silverado owners, and EV-curious commuters keep coming back to — because we put the same number on every quote, the same care into every service visit, and the same neighborhood values into every handshake. This is what it looks like when a big network still feels local.

Who we are

A Chevy store built around how people actually want to buy a car in Buffalo.

West Herr Chevrolet of Williamsville is the Chevrolet flagship of the West Herr Auto Group — Western New York's largest dealer family. Our CEO Scott Bieler, who started his career on the West Herr sales floor and built the company on a simple idea: treat every customer the way you'd want your own family treated. That principle is why this Williamsville rooftop has become Erie County's go-to Chevy destination for shoppers who don't want to haggle, don't want surprises in the finance office, and don't want to babysit their dealer after the sale.

We're located in the Town of Amherst, minutes from Buffalo, with one of the deepest Chevrolet inventories in the region — Silverado, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Trax, Trailblazer, Blazer, Corvette, plus a growing fleet of Equinox EV and Blazer EV models on the floor. And because we're part of the West Herr family, the car you buy in Williamsville can be serviced at any West Herr Chevy store, with one record, one set of standards, one phone number that will still answer in year five of ownership.

What you can count on

Four promises we hold ourselves to — and invite you to hold us to.

Most dealers tell you they're different. We've written ours down, trained every team on them, and audit them. Here's exactly what that means for you.

01 — Transparency

The number you see is the number you pay.

The price on chevroletwilliamsville.com is the price on the buyer's order. No mandatory add-ons. No phantom market-adjustment markups. No interest-rate padding. Every line item — taxes, registration, optional protection products — is explained out loud before you sign.

02 — Low pressure

You set the pace. We just bring the keys.

Extra-long test drives. Email and text negotiation if that's easier. Coffee and quiet space if you need to think. Nervous and first-time buyers are the customers we're proudest of — and they're the reason we trained every consultant to listen first and recommend second.

03 — Ownership Care

The relationship starts at delivery, not ends.

We Own the Fix: proactive text status updates with photos, clear green-yellow-red repair recommendations, same-week routine service availability, shuttle and pickup options, and priority re-check slots if something isn't right the first time. EV-certified technicians on staff. Saturday hours. One service record across all West Herr stores.

04 — Community

We live where you live.

The people on our showroom floor coach your kids' soccer teams, volunteer at Amherst-area schools, and shop at the same grocery stores you do. West Herr engages with communities across Western New York, and the Williamsville store leads on local sponsorships from youth sports to Buffalo's biggest community causes.

The Williamsville Transparency Promise

If we ever break one of these commitments, tell us — and we'll make it right.

Pricing transparency is something every dealer claims. We're putting ours in writing, training to it, and auditing every deal against it. Here's what that means in plain language:

  • We honor every online price — including incentives you qualify for at the time of quote.
  • We provide a full line-item out-the-door quote, in writing, before you sit in a finance office.
  • We never require dealer-installed accessories or pre-installed add-ons. They're optional, always.
  • We respect outside financing, credit-union pre-approvals, and cash buyers the same as in-house finance.
  • We explain every F&I product as opt-in, in advisory tone — not as a hidden line on a four-square.
  • We document our pricing walkthrough on every deal.

Our story

Big enough to back you for a decade. Small enough to know your name.

West Herr started as a single Ford store in 1950 and grew into Western New York's largest auto group under Scott Bieler — a salesman who became majority owner and built the culture this Williamsville Chevrolet rooftop runs on. Today, more than 3,000 West Herr employees serve customers from 41 dealerships across the region, and Chevrolet of Williamsville is the network's Chevy hub for the north towns: Amherst, Clarence, Tonawanda, and beyond.

What that means for you: when you buy a Chevy here, you're not just buying from a dealership. You're joining a network that can service your truck wherever you are in WNY, transfer inventory between rooftops, and stand behind your vehicle long after the bow comes off the hood.

Frequently asked questions

The questions Buffalo Chevy shoppers actually ask us.

Honest answers — no marketing language. If you don't see your question here, call 716-243-4553 or stop by the store.

Yes. The price posted on chevroletwilliamsville.com is the same price that appears on your buyer's order. We don't add mandatory dealer-installed accessories, market-adjustment markups, or surprise documentation fees beyond the standard New York State doc fee disclosed on every quote. Sales tax and DMV registration are itemized separately, in writing, before you sign anything. If a number ever moves between your online quote and your in-store paperwork, ask the manager — that's a violation of our Transparency Promise, and we want to know about it.

This is one of the things we're proudest of. Helping first-time and anxious buyers is a named, repeatable program at our Williamsville store — not a sales tactic. You'll get an extended test drive (no time pressure), a finance education session that explains APR, lease vs. buy, and out-the-door cost in plain English, plus a dedicated post-delivery walkthrough so you understand every button before you drive home. Many of our consultants have been with us for 10+ years specifically because they enjoy guiding people through their first Chevy.

You're already looking at the right store. West Herr Chevrolet of Williamsville keeps one of the deepest Chevrolet inventories in Erie County, including roughly 50+ Silverado 1500s in stock at any given time, plus Silverado HD, Equinox, Equinox EV, Trax, Trailblazer, Blazer, Blazer EV, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, and Corvette. If we don't have the exact configuration you want on the Williamsville lot, we can transfer it from any of the other West Herr Chevy stores — usually within a day or two.

Our Williamsville service department is built for complex GM diagnostics — we're a GM-certified service center with master technicians, EV-trained techs, and the same dealer-level diagnostic tools the engineers in Detroit use. We're also a great fit for warranty work and recall completion. You'll get text status updates with photos, a clear green-yellow-red breakdown of what's urgent versus what can wait, and a priority re-check slot if anything isn't fixed correctly the first time. Same-week appointments are usually available for routine work.

Yes — that's actually one of our favorite appointments to run. We typically have Equinox EV and Blazer EV models ready to drive alongside their gas counterparts, plus on-site charging so you can see real-world charge speeds. Our EV specialists are trained to walk you through winter range, charging at home in Buffalo's climate, the federal tax credit, and whether an EV truly fits your commute — without selling you one if it doesn't.

Absolutely. Our internet team holds itself to a 15-minute response time during business hours, and we'll handle pricing, trade evaluation, financing pre-approval, document upload, and e-signature remotely. If you've completed most steps online, you'll be in and out in minutes, not hours for a final test drive and signatures. Many of our customers tell us they barely needed to step foot in the showroom until delivery day.

We work with a wide network of lenders — including credit unions and banks that specialize in fair-credit and credit-rebuilding situations — and our finance managers are trained to find a real path forward without marking up interest rates beyond what the lender approved. Past bankruptcy, recent credit hits, or short job history don't automatically disqualify you. The fairest thing we can tell you: bring in your most recent pay stub and an idea of your monthly budget, and we'll show you exactly what's possible before anyone runs a hard credit pull.

We handle a lot of lease-end conversations and we'll be straight with you: depending on residual value, mileage, and current market pricing, buying out your Chevy is sometimes the smartest move and sometimes not. We'll show you both numbers side by side — buyout cost versus market value versus what a comparable new lease would cost — and let you decide. There's no pressure to make a same-day decision.

This is one of the most common sources of confusion at dealerships, and we built a one-page "Your Coverage at a Glance" handout specifically to fix it. The GM factory bumper-to-bumper warranty (3 years / 36,000 miles) and powertrain warranty (5 years / 60,000 miles) cover most issues during those windows. EV battery coverage runs 8 years / 100,000 miles. West Herr-branded extended service contracts are optional add-ons that pick up where factory coverage ends. We'll explain exactly which one covers any given repair before work begins — no surprise bills.

You can be serviced at any West Herr Chevy rooftop — Orchard Park, Hamburg, or Williamsville — and your service record follows you across all of them. We also offer shuttle and pickup/drop-off options out of Williamsville for routine maintenance, plus Saturday service hours for customers who can't take time off during the work week.

We're at 8040 Transit Rd in Williamsville, NY 14221 — easy access from I-290 and I-990, serving Amherst, Clarence, Tonawanda, and greater Buffalo. Sales: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, closed Sunday. Service: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 7:30 AM–7:00 PM, Wednesday, Friday 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, Saturday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM closed Sunday. Call 716-243-4553 for sales or 716-243-4553 for service.

Stop by. Test drive something. No pressure to buy.

You don't have to make a decision today. You don't have to make one this week. Come see the showroom, drive a Silverado or an Equinox EV, and meet the consultants who'll be there for the long haul if and when you're ready.

We're 12 minutes from downtown Buffalo, just off I-290 in the heart of Williamsville. Free coffee, comfortable waiting areas, kid-friendly showroom, and a service team that will answer the phone in year five.
